What batteries do box mods use?
Most dual-battery box mods use 18650 lithium-ion batteries, though some newer high-wattage devices use the larger 21700 format for longer runtime. Always use high-drain cells from reputable brands (Sony, Samsung, Molicel) and never use damaged batteries.
Do I need to buy batteries separately?
Yes — box mods do not include batteries. Purchase high-drain 18650 or 21700 cells and a dedicated battery charger. Never charge batteries in a mod overnight or leave unattended.
What is temperature control vaping?
Temperature control (TC) mode allows the mod to detect resistance changes in compatible coils (nickel, titanium, or stainless steel) and limit the temperature rather than wattage, preventing dry hits and producing a more consistent vape.
What wattage should I vape at?
This depends on your coil's recommended range, which is printed on the coil itself. Start at the lower end and increase gradually. Sub-ohm coils typically run between 40W–100W; MTL coils usually run below 20W.
Are box mods UK legal?
The box mod device itself is not regulated by TPD — it's the e-liquid and tanks that carry TPD restrictions. Mods can legally output any wattage. However, tanks sold in the UK must comply with 2ml capacity limits for TPD purposes.
